It also avoids using a drill chuck as a constant screwdriver holder, which can wear accessories and slow the job down.
The same logic applies to a trade range. A combi drill covers broad demand, while an impact driver gives professional users the fastening performance they notice immediately. What to check before buying or stocking
Start with the fastening sizes and materials your customers handle most. A contractor driving 40 mm wood screws into softwood has different requirements from a framing crew installing structural screws all day. Check that the impact driver accepts common 1/4-inch hex accessories and that the combi drill has enough chuck capacity for the drilling range expected.
